ADVENT SECURE – FULL LEGAL DISCLAIMER & LIMITATION OF LIABILITY POLICY (Mandatory for all clients, contracts, invoices, proposals, website footers, training materials, and verbal briefings)

 

1. We Are NOT Attorneys – No Legal Advice Is Ever Provided Advent Secure, LLC is a private security consulting and training company based in North Carolina. No employee, contractor, instructor, or affiliate of Advent Secure is licensed to practice law in North Carolina or any other jurisdiction. Any reference to North Carolina General Statutes (§ 14-51.2, § 14-51.3, § 14-415.11, § 14-277.2, § 95-129, etc.), federal laws (18 U.S.C. § 922, OSHA 1910. Subpart Z, ADA, HIPAA, DHS/CISA directives), case law, court rulings, or “best practices” is general educational information only and is NOT legal advice, legal opinion, or legal counsel. You must retain a licensed North Carolina attorney for any binding legal interpretation or defense strategy.

 

2. No Guarantee of Outcome or Immunity Advent Secure does NOT guarantee that following our recommendations, training, or policies will:

  • Prevent any criminal act, injury, or death

  • Shield you or your organization from criminal prosecution, civil lawsuits, or administrative penalties

  • Satisfy OSHA, DHS, NC-DOJ, insurance underwriters, or any regulatory body

  • Result in insurance premium reductions (although many clients do receive 5–18% discounts)

 

3. Use-of-Force, Restraint, and Firearms Training Disclaimer All physical techniques taught (wrist locks, come-alongs, escapes, strikes, or take-downs) are NC Department of Justice-approved defensive tactics for educational purposes only. They are not represented as foolproof or universally applicable. Improper use can cause serious injury or death. You assume full responsibility for any application of these techniques.

 

4. Active-Shooter / Violent-Intruder Response Training Our Run-Hide-Fight 2.0 protocols, barricade methods, and trauma-care drills are based on FBI, ALERRT, and DHS guidelines. They are not a guarantee of survival. Decisions made under stress remain solely your own.

 

5. Hostile Employee / Termination Reviews Our threat assessments of current or former employees are predictive opinions only, not psychological diagnoses. We are not mental-health professionals. Any recommendation to involve law enforcement or obtain a restraining order must be vetted by your attorney and HR counsel.

 

6. Building Risk Assessments (BRA) & Site Surveys Findings, photographs, maps, and fix-it lists are professional opinions based on industry standards (ASIS, NFPA, IESNA, CISA). They do not constitute an engineering report, fire-code inspection, or ADA compliance audit.

 

7. Data & Privacy We collect photos, floor plans, key-control records, and employee rosters solely for assessment purposes. All materials are destroyed or returned within 30 days unless you request otherwise. We are not a data-security or cybersecurity firm.

 

8. Indemnification & Hold-Harmless By engaging Advent Secure, you agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Advent Secure, LLC, its owners, instructors, contractors, and affiliates from any claim, loss, expense, or judgment arising from:

  • Your implementation or misimplementation of our training or recommendations

  • Any incident occurring on your premises before, during, or after our services

  • Any third-party reliance on our materials

 

9. No Warranties – Services Provided “As-Is” All services are performed on an “as-is” basis with no warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

 

10. Governing Law & Venue This agreement shall be governed by North Carolina law.
